How to Set Up and Use OneKey Pro
OneKey Pro is the top model in the OneKey range, with a 3.5-inch color touchscreen and a fingerprint sensor, and you can choose to sign transactions over a USB-C cable, over Bluetooth, or by scanning QR codes with no connection at all. This guide goes screen by screen, from turning the device on for the first time to connecting it to OneKey App on a computer and checking a receive address.
What you need before you start
- A reasonably charged OneKey Pro
- A USB-C cable to connect to your computer
- A computer that can run OneKey App, macOS or Windows
- The recovery phrase card from the box, and a pen
- About 20 minutes somewhere nobody can see your screen
Before you begin setup Check that the packaging and the hologram sticker on the box show no signs of being opened. A new device must always take you to the wallet creation screen. If you turn it on and find a wallet already set up, a PIN already set, or a recovery phrase written out for you in the box, stop at once, do not transfer any assets to it, and contact SIAMBC.
Set up on the device
1. Turn on the device and choose a language
Press and hold the power button for 3 to 4 seconds until the device turns on, then choose your language by following the on-screen prompts.
2. Choose Create New Wallet
The Quick Start screen gives you two options. Create New Wallet creates a brand-new wallet, while Import Wallet brings in the recovery phrase of an existing wallet. If this is your first device, choose the first one.

3. Confirm that you want to create a new wallet
The Create New Wallet screen says the device will generate a new recovery phrase for you. Tap Continue.

4. Choose the number of words
The Ready to Create screen asks you to choose 12, 18 or 24 words. Unless you have a specific reason, just choose 24. Remember this number, because you have to choose the same one when you restore the wallet.

5. Turn on PIN protection
The Enable PIN Protection screen states that the OneKey Pro PIN can be 4 to 50 digits long, much longer than usual because it has a touchscreen. Tap Continue to set it.

6. Set your PIN
Tap the digits you want on the screen. Avoid sequences and repeated digits, and do not use the same number as your phone unlock code. Then tap the check mark to continue.

7. Enter the PIN again
On the Enter PIN Again screen, enter the same code again to confirm you did not mistype it the first time.

8. The wallet on the device is ready
The Wallet is Ready screen tells you the wallet has been created on the device, but you are not done yet. The next step is writing down the recovery phrase, which is the most important step of all.

9. Read the warnings before the device shows the recovery phrase
The Ready to Back Up screen asks you to tick three acknowledgments: if you lose the recovery phrase you lose all your assets, never photograph it or make a digital copy, and never send it to anyone. When all three are ticked, tap Back Up.

10. Write the recovery phrase on paper
The Recovery Phrase screen shows the whole set of words with their numbers. Write them all on the card from the box, in order, and check them again before you continue, because the device will not show this set again. The screenshot is blurred because this is secret information.

Write the recovery phrase on paper only. Never photograph it, never type it into a phone or computer, and never send it in a chat, not even a chat with yourself. Whoever gets this phrase gets all your assets, and they cannot be recovered.
11. Get ready to check what you wrote down
The Almost Done! screen says that next the device will ask for random words one at a time, to confirm you wrote them down correctly. Tap Continue.

12. Answer the word the device asks for
The heading on the screen tells you which word number it is asking for, such as Word #1, and you choose from three options. Read it from the paper you wrote on, not from memory.

13. Answer the next word
The device asks for several more words at different positions, such as Word #6. Keep doing the same thing.

14. Answer the last word
The last word it asks for is Word #12. If you choose wrong, you wrote a word down incorrectly or out of order. Go back and start again now. That is far better than finding out when you actually need it.

15. Check complete
The Verified screen confirms the recovery phrase check is complete. Tap Continue and the setup on the device is finished.

Connect to OneKey App on a computer
The device holds the keys and signs transactions, while the app shows your balance, builds transactions and sends them to the network. Download the app only from onekey.so/download, and never download an installer from a link sent to you in a chat.
16. Open the app and tap Create wallet
Connect OneKey Pro to your computer with the USB-C cable and open OneKey App. If there is no wallet in the app yet, you will see the Create wallet button. Tap it.

17. Choose Connect hardware wallet
The Welcome to OneKey screen has several options. Choose Connect hardware wallet, not Create wallet, because the wallet has already been created on the device.

18. Choose your device name
The Connect your device screen shows the name of the connected device, such as Pro E880. Tap that name to continue.

19. Enter the PIN on the device
The app shows a number pad, but enter the code on the OneKey Pro screen, not on the computer. Entering it on the device means malware on the computer cannot read it.

20. Confirm the device is genuine on the device
The app opens a Device authentication window to check that the device is a genuine unit from the OneKey factory. Confirm on the device screen.

21. The check result
If it passes, the app shows Verification successful. If it fails, do not use that device and contact SIAMBC right away. Tap Continue to continue.

22. The wallet is ready to use
The app takes a moment to create your accounts. When it is done, you will see the wallet screen with the Buy, Swap, Send and Receive buttons.

Check the receive address before a real transfer
This step matters more than you might think. In one type of scam, malware on a computer or phone swaps the receive address shown on screen for the criminal's own, so anything sent to it goes straight into someone else's wallet. The device is the only screen malware cannot change, so compare the address on the device every time instead of trusting the computer screen alone.
23. Tap Receive
Choose the asset you want to receive, then tap Receive.

24. Tap Verify on device
The app does not show the full address yet. Instead it shows a Verify on device button first. Tap that button.

25. Compare the address on both screens
The OneKey Pro screen shows the address. Compare it with the address in the app, every character. Only if they match, confirm on the device, and the Receive window then shows the full address with a QR code and a Copy address button.

What to do after setup
- Keep the paper with your recovery phrase separate from the device, in a different place, and never let anyone photograph it.
- Receive a small amount first and check the balance shows up correctly before transferring a large sum.
- Every time you receive, tap Verify on device and compare the address on the device screen first.
- Never tell anyone your PIN, and do not use an easy-to-guess number like a birthday or a sequence.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use OneKey Pro with a phone?
Yes. Besides the USB-C cable, the device supports Bluetooth and offline QR code scanning. This guide uses a cable to a computer because that is the most straightforward way to do the first setup.
How long can the OneKey Pro PIN be?
4 to 50 digits, as stated on the Enable PIN Protection screen. That is longer than the Classic 1S, which allows 4 to 9 digits, because the Pro has a touchscreen that makes long numbers easy to enter.
What if I forget my PIN?
After 10 wrong PIN entries, the device wipes itself. This stops anyone else from guessing the code. Your assets are still all there, because you can restore them with the recovery phrase you wrote down. But if you do not have the recovery phrase either, you will never be able to access that wallet again.
Why tap Verify on device every time I receive?
Because malware on a computer can swap the address shown on screen, but it cannot change what the device screen shows. Comparing the two screens is the only check you can trust. It takes a few seconds and prevents losses that cannot be undone.
Can a fingerprint replace the recovery phrase?
No. The fingerprint only unlocks the device faster, instead of entering the PIN every time. The only thing that can restore the wallet is the recovery phrase you wrote down.
Will SIAMBC or OneKey ever ask for my recovery phrase?
Neither of them will, under any circumstances, and nobody has any reason to know your recovery phrase. Anyone who asks for it is a scammer, no exceptions, whether they claim to be the SIAMBC team, use the OneKey name, or say it is for a warranty claim, identity verification, a firmware update or account recovery.
Summary
There are three things not to miss with OneKey Pro: write the recovery phrase on paper and keep it apart from the device, always enter the PIN on the device rather than the computer, and compare the receive address on the device screen every time before a real transfer.
