How to Create a New Wallet on ELLIPAL Titan 2.0
This guide goes screen by screen through the ELLIPAL Titan 2.0. It comes in two parts: first you create the wallet and write down the recovery phrase on the device, then you connect the device to the ELLIPAL app on your phone to check balances and send transfers.
Before you start, what you need
- ELLIPAL Titan 2.0, already charged
- A phone with the ELLIPAL app installed
- Paper and a pen, or the recovery phrase card from the box
- About 10 minutes, somewhere nobody can see your screen and no camera can record it
ELLIPAL devices never go online at any point Titan 2.0 and Titan Mini talk to the app by scanning QR codes only, while X Card uses NFC. There is no cable, no Bluetooth and no Wi-Fi in this process, so the key stays in the device with no path out to the internet.
How to create a new wallet on ELLIPAL Titan 2.0
Titan 2.0 creates the wallet entirely on the device, then passes the data to the app by QR code. This model's recovery phrase has 12 or 24 words.
1. Choose to create a new account
Turn the device on and go to the Add account screen. There are three options: create a new account, recover without using a recovery phrase, and import an existing account. Choose Create account

2. Set the account name and password
On the Create account screen, enter a name in the Account name field, then set the device Password. This password unlocks the device and confirms transfers. It is separate from the recovery phrase, and it cannot be used to recover the wallet in its place.

3. Go to back up the recovery phrase
The device says the account was created successfully and reminds you to back up the recovery phrase. Tap Back up seed phrase. Do not skip it, because nothing is backed up at all until you complete this step.

4. Read the warning, then start the backup
The screen explains how important the recovery phrase is, and tells you to write it on paper and keep it somewhere with no cameras. When you have read it, tap Back up now

5. Write down every word of the recovery phrase
The device shows the whole recovery phrase on screen. Write it on paper in order and in full, then read it back once more before tapping Next. If a word is out of order or even one word is missing, the recovery phrase cannot be used to recover.

The recovery phrase is the only thing that can recover the wallet Write it on paper or a metal plate only. Do not take a photo, do not type it into a phone or computer, and do not keep it in a notes app or the cloud. Anyone who gets the recovery phrase can reach your assets immediately, without the device. SIAMBC never knows your recovery phrase and cannot recover it for you. Nobody can.
6. Tap the words in order to confirm
On the Verify seed phrase screen, tap the words in the order you wrote them down, to prove you really wrote them correctly. It is not there to be tapped through.

7. Confirm the recovery phrase
Once every word is selected, confirm on the Verify seed phrase screen. If the order is wrong, the device makes you do it again.

8. Choose the networks to use
On the Select Network screen, switch on only the networks you will actually use, such as BTC, ETH or TRX. You can add more later from the Add Networks menu on the device, then connect to the app again.

9. The device shows a QR code for the app to scan
When that is done, the device goes to the Connect to app screen and keeps a QR code on display. Leave this screen as it is, then open the app on your phone.

10. Open the app and tap Cold Wallet
In the ELLIPAL app, the home screen has a Cold Wallet button. Tap it.

11. Choose the device type
On the Connect to Cold Wallet screen, choose Titan 2.0 / Mini

12. Tap Connect Titan
The app shows the Prepare your Titan screen. Keep the device on its QR code screen, then tap Connect Titan to open the camera.

13. Scan the QR code on the device screen
The app goes to the Scan screen. Point your phone camera at the QR code on the Titan 2.0 screen so it fills the frame.

The QR code keeps changing. If it will not scan, press Pause Titan 2.0 cycles through several QR codes automatically. If the app cannot keep up, press the Pause button at the bottom of the device screen to hold the image, then scan again.
14. Connected
The app shows the wallet name, the networks you switched on and the balance. If the addresses appear under the correct networks, you are done.

What to do after creating the wallet
- Keep the paper with your recovery phrase apart from the device, in a different place, and never let anyone photograph it.
- Write down the device password, or the Card-PIN if you have an X Card, and keep it somewhere else, on a separate sheet from the recovery phrase.
- Receive a small amount once first and check the balance shows correctly in the app before transferring a large amount.
- Every time you send, read the destination address and the amount on the device screen before confirming, rather than trusting only what the phone shows.
Frequently asked questions
Is the wallet in the app different from the one in the device?
They are the same wallet. The device keeps the key offline and signs transactions, while the app shows the balance and builds transactions for the device to sign. Each needs the other, and the app alone cannot send a transfer.
Why write down the recovery phrase when I have already set a password?
The password only protects the device. If the device is lost, broken or reset, the password does nothing. The recovery phrase is the only thing that brings the wallet back, and nobody can do it for you.
The app will not scan the QR code
The QR code on the device keeps changing. Press the Pause button at the bottom of the device screen to hold the image, then scan again. If it still does not work, check that you are scanning the QR code for the account you actually want, then close and reopen the app.
Can I add networks later?
Yes. On the device, open the account you want and choose the menu for adding networks. Select the ones you want and confirm, then connect to the app again so the new networks appear in the app.
Will SIAMBC or ELLIPAL ever ask for my recovery phrase?
Neither of them will, under any circumstances, and nobody has any reason to know your recovery phrase. Anyone who asks for it is a scammer, no exceptions, whether they claim to be SIAMBC staff, use the ELLIPAL name, or say it is for a warranty claim, identity verification, a firmware update or account recovery.
Summary
The three things not to get wrong: write every word of the recovery phrase on paper in order before continuing, keep the recovery phrase apart from the device and from the password, and receive a small amount once first before transferring a large amount.
If you get stuck or something does not work, message SIAMBC. We look after usage, warranty and product exchanges in Thailand.
