How to Set Up and Use OneKey Classic 1S Pure BTC-Only
OneKey Classic 1S Pure BTC-Only is the Pure model loaded with Bitcoin-only firmware. Nothing other than Bitcoin appears on the device. It suits people who hold only Bitcoin, because there is less to tap by mistake and less code running on the device. This guide goes screen by screen, from plugging in the cable for the first time to connecting it to OneKey App.
What you need before you start
- OneKey Classic 1S Pure BTC-Only with its USB-C cable
- A computer or phone that can run OneKey App
- The recovery phrase card from the box, and a pen
- About 20 minutes somewhere nobody can see your screen
Before you begin setup: Check that the packaging and the hologram sticker on the box show no signs of being opened. A new device must always take you to the wallet creation screen. If you turn it on and find a wallet already set up, a PIN already set, or a recovery phrase written out for you in the box, stop at once, do not transfer any assets to it, and contact SIAMBC.
The difference to know first: The Pure models have no built-in battery, so the USB-C cable must stay plugged in to power the device the whole time you use it. Unplug it and the device switches off. The upside is that there is no battery to wear out: leave it in a drawer for a year, plug it in, and it works right away.
About the screenshots in this guide: The Classic 1S family runs the same firmware, so every screen is identical across the models, and this guide uses the same set of screenshots. What differs between the models is the hardware, not the screens.
This device supports Bitcoin only. Do not send any other asset to this device's addresses, because it will not be shown and there is no way to sign it back out. If you want to hold more than one kind of asset, use the standard Classic 1S Pure instead.
Set up on the device
1. Turn on the device and choose a language
Plug the USB-C cable into a computer or phone to power the device, and it turns on by itself. The first screen is Select Language, where you choose your language. Below the screen are four buttons in a row on the front of the device. From left to right they are power, up, down and confirm.

2. Learn the buttons before you continue
The Welcome to OneKey screen explains that one button goes back and another goes forward. Remember them well, because the whole setup uses only these two buttons.

3. Start Quick Start
The Quick Start screen tells you to keep following the on-screen instructions. Press the forward button.

4. Choose Create New Wallet
The Set Up screen gives you two options. Create New Wallet creates a brand-new wallet, while Import Wallet brings in the recovery phrase of an existing wallet. If this is your first device, choose the first one.

5. Confirm that you want to create a new wallet
The Create New Wallet screen says the device will generate a new recovery phrase for you. Press the forward button.

6. Choose the number of words
The Select Number of Words screen asks you to choose 12, 18 or 24 words. Unless you have a specific reason, just choose 24. Remember this number, because you have to choose the same one when you restore the wallet.

7. Read the warning before the device shows the recovery phrase
The Back Up Recovery Phrase screen says the next screens will show the words one at a time. Have the card and pen ready, then write them down in the order you see them.

8. Write down the first word
The Word #1 screen shows the first word. Write it in the first box on the card, then press the forward button, one word at a time.

9. Keep writing until the last word
Repeat until you have all the words for the number you chose. The last word of a 12-word set is Word #12. Do not rush and do not skip a word. The order matters as much as the words themselves.

Write the recovery phrase on paper only. Never photograph it, never type it into a phone or computer, and never send it in a chat, not even a chat with yourself. Whoever gets this phrase gets all your assets, and they cannot be recovered.
10. Read it through again
The Check Words Again screen asks you to review the whole set once more. At this step you are only reading and comparing. It is not the test yet.

11. Compare words 1 to 6
The Recovery Phrase (1-6) screen shows the first six words together. Compare them with your paper, word by word.

12. Compare words 7 to 12
Move on to the Recovery Phrase (7-12) screen and compare the same way until you are done. If you find a mistake, there is still time to fix it now.

13. Start the word-by-word check
The Check Recovery Phrase screen says the device will now ask for random words one at a time, to confirm you wrote them down correctly.

14. Answer the word the device asks for
The heading on the screen tells you which word number it is asking for, such as Check Word #1, and you choose from three options. Read it from the paper you wrote on, not from memory.

15. Answer until you are done
The last word it asks for is Check Word #12. If you choose wrong, you wrote a word down incorrectly or out of order. Go back and start again now. That is far better than finding out when you actually need it.

16. Backup complete
When you have answered them all, the device shows the message Awesome! Your backup is complete, meaning the backup is finished.

17. Read the storage warning
The Almost Done! screen stresses that the recovery phrase is the only way to get your assets back, so keep it somewhere safe. This is not marketing copy. It is simply how this type of device works.

18. Start setting your PIN
The Set PIN screen states that the OneKey Classic 1S Pure BTC-Only PIN can be 4 to 9 digits long, using only the numbers 1 to 9, with no 0.

19. Enter the code you want
On the Enter New PIN screen, scroll to choose each digit in turn. Avoid sequences and repeated digits, and do not use the same number as your phone unlock code.

20. Enter the code again
On the Enter New PIN Again screen, enter the same code again to confirm you did not mistype it the first time.

21. PIN set
The screen confirms the PIN has been set. From now on you need this code every time you unlock the device and every time you sign a transaction.

22. Setup on the device is done
The Congratulations! screen tells you the wallet on the device is ready. The next step is connecting it to OneKey App.

23. Where to download the app
The Download OneKey Apps screen gives the download address as onekey.so/download. Download only from there, or from the App Store and Google Play.

24. Who to contact if you have a problem
The Support screen shows the manufacturer's help center address, but if you bought the device from us, contact SIAMBC directly for help with using it, warranty and exchanges in Thailand. There is no need to open a case overseas yourself.

25. Back to the home screen
The Done? screen says setup is finished and the device is about to return to the home screen. That completes the steps on the device.

Connect to a computer
The device holds the keys and signs transactions, while the app shows your balance, builds transactions and sends them to the network. Download the app only from onekey.so/download, and never download an installer from a link sent to you in a chat.
26. Open the app and tap Create wallet
Connect OneKey Classic 1S Pure BTC-Only to your computer with the USB-C cable and open OneKey App. If there is no wallet in the app yet, you will see the Create wallet button. Tap it.

27. Choose Connect hardware wallet
The Welcome to OneKey screen has several options. Choose Connect hardware wallet, not Create wallet, because the wallet has already been created on the device.

28. Choose your device name
The Connect your device screen shows the name of the connected device, such as K1551. Tap that name to continue.

29. Enter the PIN on the device
The app shows a number pad, but enter the code on the OneKey Classic 1S Pure BTC-Only screen, not on the computer. Entering it on the device means malware on the computer cannot read it.

30. Confirm the device is genuine
The app opens a Device authentication window to check that the device is a genuine unit from the OneKey factory. Confirm on the device screen.

31. The check result
If it passes, the app shows Verification successful. If it fails, do not use that device and contact SIAMBC right away.

32. The wallet is ready to use
The app takes a moment to create your accounts. When it is done, you will see the wallet screen with the Buy, Swap, Send and Receive buttons.

33. Tap Receive to see the receive address
Choose the asset you want to receive, then tap Receive.

This step matters more than you might think. In one type of scam, malware on a computer or phone swaps the receive address shown on screen for the criminal's own, so anything sent to it goes straight into someone else's wallet. The device is the only screen malware cannot change, so compare the address on the device every time instead of trusting the computer screen alone.
34. Tap Verify on device
The app does not show the full address yet. Instead it shows a Verify on device button first. Tap that button.

35. Compare the address on both screens
The device screen shows the address. Compare it with the address in the app, every character. Only if they match, confirm on the device, and the Receive window then shows the full address with a QR code and a Copy address button.

Connect to a phone
This method uses Bluetooth, with no computer needed. The steps on the device are exactly the same. Only the app side is different.
The Pure has no battery, so it needs power from the USB-C cable the whole time it is connected.
26. Open the app and tap the account name
Open OneKey App on your phone and tap the account name at the top to open the wallet management menu.

27. Tap add wallet
The menu that slides out shows your existing wallet names and Accounts, with an add wallet button in the bottom corner. Tap that button.

28. Choose Connect hardware wallet
On the Welcome to OneKey screen, choose Connect hardware wallet, not Create wallet, because the wallet has already been created on the device.

29. Tap Start connection
The Connect your device screen asks you to keep the device switched on near your phone. Turn on Bluetooth on your phone too, then tap Start connection.

30. Choose your device from the list
The screen shows Looking for devices, followed by a list of the devices it finds. Choose the name that matches your device, not someone else's device nearby.

31. Enter the pairing code
The phone asks for a pairing code. Look at the code shown on the device screen and enter it exactly. If it does not match, cancel and start again.

32. Wait for the connection
The Connect your device screen shows that it is connecting to the device you chose. While it does, do not turn the device off or walk away from it.

33. Confirm the device is genuine
The app asks to check that the device is genuine. Confirm on the device screen. When it passes, you will see Verification successful.

34. Wait while the app creates your accounts
The Finalize wallet setup screen takes a moment to create your accounts.

35. The wallet is ready to use
When it is done, you will see the wallet screen with your balance and the Buy, Trade, Send and Receive buttons.

36. Tap Receive and choose an asset
Tap Receive and choose the asset whose receive address you want to see.

37. Choose the address type
Some assets offer several address types, such as Nested SegWit or Taproot. If you are not sure, use the type the app has already selected for you.

38. Tap Verify on device
The app does not show the full address yet. Instead it shows a Verify on device button first. Tap that button.

39. Confirm on the device
The app shows Confirm on device and waits for you to confirm on the device screen. Compare the address on both screens, every character, before you confirm.

40. The address is ready to use
Once confirmed, the Receive screen shows the full address with a QR code and a Copy address button.

What to do after setup
- Keep the paper with your recovery phrase separate from the device, in a different place, and never let anyone photograph it.
- Receive a small amount first and check the balance shows up correctly before transferring a large sum.
- Every time you receive, tap Verify on device and compare the address on the device screen first.
- Never tell anyone your PIN, and do not use an easy-to-guess number like a birthday or a sequence.
Frequently asked questions
How is the BTC-Only different from the standard Pure?
The hardware is exactly the same. The difference is the firmware it comes with: this model shows and signs Bitcoin only, while the standard version supports many networks. The setup steps are all the same.
Why choose a model that supports only one?
The less a device can do, the less code it runs and the fewer chances there are to tap the wrong thing. For someone who holds only Bitcoin, cutting out the parts you do not use reduces risk. It does not reduce features.
How do I use it without a battery?
Plug the USB-C cable into a computer or phone and the device turns on by itself, then switches off when you unplug it. The keys are in the security chip, which does not need power to keep its data.
How many digits can the PIN have?
4 to 9 digits, using only the numbers 1 to 9, with no 0, as stated on the Set PIN screen.
What if I forget my PIN?
After 10 wrong PIN entries, the device wipes itself. This stops anyone else from guessing the code. Your assets are still all there, because you can restore them with the recovery phrase you wrote down. But if you do not have the recovery phrase either, you will never be able to access that wallet again.
Will SIAMBC or OneKey ever ask for my recovery phrase?
Neither of them will, under any circumstances, and nobody has any reason to know your recovery phrase. Anyone who asks for it is a scammer, no exceptions, whether they claim to be the SIAMBC team, use the OneKey name, or say it is for a warranty claim, identity verification, a firmware update or account recovery.
Summary
The setup steps are exactly the same as the Pure. What differs is that the device holds Bitcoin only. The other rules stay the same: write the recovery phrase on paper and keep it apart from the device, always enter the PIN on the device, and compare the receive address on the device screen before a real transfer.
