How to check your device is genuine

  1. The device box is still sealedThe device box is sealed with adhesive bubble wrap and shrink wrap. If the seal is broken, the box has been opened, or the device looks altered, pause setup and contact us right away.
  2. Everything in the box list is thereCompare against "What's in the box" above. All 3 Keycards should be there, each in its Faraday sleeve.
  3. No pry marks on the deviceCheck all around the device, its edges, seams, USB-C port and rear camera for pry marks, scratches, glue residue or loose parts. If you find any, do not use it and contact us right away.
  4. A new device starts at the welcome screenThe first power-on shows the welcome screen and terms of use, then a QR code for connecting the Envoy app. If the device asks for a PIN straight away, or arrives with a PIN, a Seed Phrase or a Keycard that already holds data, do not use it.
  5. Pass the Security Check in the Envoy appDuring setup the device checks its identity with Foundation through Envoy automatically. If it fails, do not use it and contact us right away. Even after a pass, still check the box and device as described above.
  6. Download the app from official sources onlyGet the Envoy app only from foundation.xyz, the App Store or Google Play.
  7. No need to open the deviceThe device has tamper detection. Opening it is never needed and voids the warranty.

Foundation Passport Prime FAQ

How much is the Foundation Passport Prime?

18,900 ฿ at SIAMBC, the authorized Foundation distributor in Thailand.

What does it support?

The wallet on the device is Bitcoin only. It also stores TOTP 2FA codes, works as a FIDO key for logins, and keeps 50GB of encrypted files.

Does it work with iPhone?

Yes. The Envoy app on iPhone or Android connects to the device through QuantumLink, an encrypted Bluetooth link that starts by scanning a QR code on the device screen.

What is Magic Backup?

It is the default backup. The Master Key is split into 3 parts: 2 are written to Keycards, and 1 is kept encrypted in the Envoy app and backed up to your Apple or Google account. Any 2 parts restore it: two Keycards, or one Keycard plus Envoy.

Can I avoid the cloud?

Yes. During setup, tap Advanced on the Create Magic Backup screen to back up manually, without the part kept in the app.

How should I store the Keycards?

Keep each one in a different place, because any two Keycards from the same backup can restore the Master Key. Always keep them in their Faraday sleeves and verify them from time to time. The third card is a spare.

How many wrong PINs are allowed?

After 10 wrong attempts the device erases itself, and you restore from your backup.

How long is the warranty?

1 year. If anything goes wrong, contact SIAMBC directly for claims in Thailand.

Will SIAMBC or Foundation ever ask for my Seed Phrase, PIN or Keycards?

Neither of us will, ever. Anyone who asks for your Seed Phrase, PIN or password, or asks you to send them a Keycard, is a scammer, whether they claim to be SIAMBC staff, use the Foundation name, or say it is for a warranty claim, identity check or firmware update.

Before you buy

Are your products genuine?

Yes. Every device we sell is new, sealed, genuine stock from authorized channels. SIAMBC has been Thailand's hardware wallet specialist since 2016 and has a physical store in Bangkok you can walk into.

This matters more than it sounds. A hardware wallet bought from an unknown marketplace seller can arrive already set up by someone else, with a recovery phrase they know. It is the one purchase where the seller genuinely matters.

How long does delivery take?

Orders normally arrive within 1 to 2 business days, depending on where you are — faster if you are in Bangkok.

Need it today? We can send it by Grab or LINEMAN for same-day delivery. Call us or message us on LINE to arrange it, pay by bank transfer, and it goes out immediately.

You are also welcome to collect from our Bangkok store.

Can I collect from your store instead?

Yes. We are in Thawi Watthana, Bangkok, open Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. You are welcome to come in, see the devices in person and ask questions before you buy. We answer in Thai and English. Find us here.

What warranty do I get?

Hardware wallets carry a 1-year warranty, claimed directly through us, with no waiting in an overseas support queue.

If a device is faulty out of the box, we replace it with a new one straight away. No forms, no waiting on the manufacturer.

The exception is the CryptoSafe range of steel recovery phrase backups: these products carry no warranty and cannot be returned or exchanged, as stated on their product pages.

How can I pay?

Credit card, bank transfer, or cash on delivery. You can also pay in person at our Bangkok store.

Can I set it up myself?

Yes, and you should do every step yourself. It takes a few minutes: you press every button on the device, create the wallet and write down your recovery phrase on your own.

Our step-by-step guides walk you through each step. If you get stuck, our team can answer on LINE or by phone, without ever seeing or asking for your recovery phrase.

Which model should I choose?

It depends on the phone you use and what you are protecting. The most common mistake is buying a wallet that does not work with your phone — the Ledger Nano S Plus does not support iPhone at all, and most Trezor models are view-only on iOS.

Compare every model side by side, or ask us. We will tell you honestly which one fits.

What happens if I lose my hardware wallet?

Nothing, as long as you still have your recovery phrase. The device only holds the keys — buy any compatible wallet, enter your phrase, and your crypto is back.

The real risk is losing the phrase itself. That is why we suggest keeping it on steel rather than the paper card in the box. Paper burns, water ruins it, and in Thailand termites eat it.

Will anyone ever ask for my recovery phrase?

No. Anyone who asks for it is a scammer, without exception. Neither SIAMBC nor any manufacturer will ever ask for your recovery phrase — not for a warranty claim, not for identity verification, not for a firmware update. Whoever has those words owns your crypto, and it can never be recovered.

Still have a question?

Message us on LINE or come into the shop. We would rather answer first than have you buy the wrong device.
